This spring the Slice team will be hitting the road doing several quilting and sewing shows across the US, maybe we will be visiting your town! When we go on the road I love to Slice up all of my clothes to show off our fabulous little machine. This spring is no exception, I love cardigans and London so this Make-it Monday was a no brainer! Yay! I love upcycling and thanks to Sew Can She, messy appliquéing.

I feel head over heels in love with this super cute London themed fabric; I loved it so much it really took all of me to come to terms with cutting it.

Using my tried and true favorite card, appliqué basics, I cut out several circles. Using the shadow function I cut out a back layer with a matching red and white striped fabric.

In just a matter of minutes I figured out a configuration for my circles, removed the paper on the back and ironed in place. The fun thing about free motion stitching (messy appliquéing) is that there are no rules! I usually go around about 2-3 times, once to actually secure the fabric down and the second and third for decoration.

I continued my pattern on the front breast as well as swap out the buttons for some super cute Union Jack ones my hubby put in my stocking this Christmas. I love sewing, I love London and I love my Slice!
Happy Sewing all!
