It's baby shower season and we all know that handmade gifts are always the best, so surprise that mommy to be with this super cute baby onesie!
Using our Sweet Dreams card cut out a 3" hedgehog in two corresponding fabrics, fuse and then sew the design on the chest of my onesie using a blanket, satin or strait stitch. To create the bottom rows of ruffles I followed this tutorial from Anne Weaver's blog post on A Pretty Cool Life.
To then sew the ruffles onto your onesie be sure to sew the top row upwards then fold and iron down so that the stitching can be hid under the ruffles. If you would like to add a second or third row these rows can be sewn straight down as the stitches will be hidden by the first row.

It's super easy to create fun and unique baby gifts with the Slice!
