We have not forgotten about our paper fans! : )
The Slice is
great for scrapbooking and card making and we love to see what our fans have
created with their Slice!
Linda Bautista is one of our new and favorite Slice Fans. Linda’s cards are too cute to not show off here on our blog. We love how she even uses our newer fabric designs on her cards!
Here is what Linda has to say about her inspiration for these cards created with her Slice!
As far as inspirations - for me it's the paper that inspires me - if I find printed paper that has a theme most likely I already know exactly which design cards coordinates with the paper. Most of the time I pre-cut my Slice designs in several in different sizes then I file them in an envelope for future usage.
Hanging Monkeys: My inspiration for this card was the Fabric Card, "Critter Jamboree".. it can work on paper and fabric and I love it! All the different layers and pieces are so cute & coordinate with the velum print card stock and green leaf paper. I just bumped all the die cuts with pop dots to make a 3D affect. How else to make the gesture card just to say "Let's hang out".
California State: My inspiration was the design card Travel. Having the option to Slice out all of the United States individually is a wonderful idea. Especially for someone who lives out of state who may wish to travel to California for vacation someday. This design card is one of my favorites since it has many cuts for outdoors. I decided to make a step out card since I had so many die cuts to place down, -and to avoid crowdedness, the layering affect works best.
Who's Crabby: I found my inspiration for this card with the design card Summer, and my beautiful paper stash! This is a pretty simple and fun card!
Linda, very nice blog and I appreciate you sharing your inspirations. I also love using the dies for both paper & fabric. I am slow coming up with creative ideas, but love the ease of the Slice.
