We are featured on My Craft Channel again today and Alison is showing us what the difference is between a pieced and a layered card and featuring an image from the Vintage Seasons design card. To get the low down on how to create the entire apron, click on the link below.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut your fabric. For the tie, cut a piece that is about 60" x 5". For the apron, cut 22" x 16"
First, sew a quarter inch hem around the sides and bottom of the apron.
Then, cut out your shapes from the Vintage Seasons card. We used Size 4 for this particular image. Satin or blanket stitch around the image to secure it. Also, add french knots for the eyes and flower centers.
At the top of the apron, about 4 inches from each side, baste two, 4-inch lines for gathering. Gather and secure with a pin.
Next, fold your apron in half and your tie in half, widthwise so that you can find the center of both items. Then stitch the tie and the apron together by placing them right sides together and sewing along the top.
Open the tie portion up and iron so that the seam faces towards the tie. Iron down the top and bottom of the apron a quarter inch. Finally, fold the tie in half and top stitch along the opening.
Hope you enjoy this tutorial and have fun making your very own apron!
This is way cute....
