Week two of my quilting adventure few by so happily! I spent my entire Sunday afternoon blissfully unaware of the usual chores that must be done around the house and fell even more in love with my precious quilt!
Locked away in my spare room with my darling puppies at my feet and good tunes of my laptop I carefully sewed my blocks together into rows of ten. I gave each segment a quarter inch seam allowance. It was quite easy to do with the ruler that in on the base of my sewing machine. If your machine does not have this feature I found that there are other clever ways to ensure a proper allowance such as using a fabric marker or masking tape- either way will work just fine.
Row by row I watched my little quilt grow as I lined my workspace with the finished sections. This step went by so quickly I started to shop for my backer fabric and bias tape. After a little scouting out I was able to pick out a fun kawaii print that would complement my crazy collection.
