MAKE-IT MONDAY :: PERSONALIZED NAPKINS

A little bit ago, I offered to do the place settings at our family Thanksgiving table. I wanted to do something personal and memorable. I searched all over Pinterest for an idea. It came to me all on my own last night as I was thinking up something to do for today's Make-It Monday - personalized napkins! People sometimes have place cards at Thanksgiving and they always have napkins, why not combine the two?

Today we have guest designer, Natalie Ormond, sharing with us a project she created using the Slice. Natalie is a talented crafter and has previously worked as a designer for Making Memories. Now she primarily freelances. We are so excited to have her share her skills!

Hi everyone! This is Natalie. I wanted to show you how to make something that would make an excellent gift or keepsake for your family. I have a one year old boy and these are a little too big for him, but would be perfect gift for my in-law's new baby!

Have you guys heard of International Quilt Market or International Quilt Festival? They are these incredibly fun shows filled with all the newest quilting merchandise out there. Tipsy Tuesday :: Inserting Design Card

Sometimes inserting a design card is a little tricky. Here's a tutorial on the ins and outs of design card use.

 

First thing you're going to want to do is to find your design card. Hopefully you have a design card case to hold your library of design cards. Place the card in, with the label facing up and the metal shiny part on the bottom - closest to the machine.
