Valentine's is coming up and maybe you want to personalize something for your co-workers, friends or loved ones. Or maybe you're a super mom and want to make a bag for each child in your child's kindergarten class. Whatever the case may be, these bags are simple to make and even simpler to personalize with your Slice.
Learn how to create them after the jump.
Fold your bags in half, so that they are now at 4" x 6.5". Sew a .25" seam along the bottom and the side. Press the seam down the center.
Then, I folded the top down about .75" and topstitch with a .5" seam. Then, cut the corners off of the bottom and flip inside out.
Almost done! Next, take your seam ripper and remove the stitching from the side seam at the top, do not remove any stitches below the top stitched line around the rim. Then, and this is my favorite part, attach your ribbon to a safety pin and thread it through the top casing. Tie the ribbon in a knot, iron on your letter and give the gift of love!

Thank you for this adorable idea and such a well-done tutorial. I often make bags like these - but was always stumped as to how to get a nice finish at the drawstring opening without a whole bunch of pressing or handstitching that tiny spot, or a whole bunch of extra steps. Funny how what's simple & obvious to one person can be a conundrum to another... I had a total "Eureka!" moment when I saw you sew it all they way up and then slip in the seam ripper! So. Much. Simpler. Sigh. Thanks again!
